wp89976209_05_06In this week’s management system moment we will discuss the role of top management in the organization’s management system.

Top management in any organization sets the company’s culture either through their actions or inaction.
Here’s a saying that you may want to commit to memory, “Model what you want multiplied.” This is something I actually heard in a parenting class, but I’ve adopted it for everything now, because it’s so applicable. This is also true in any organization, regardless of its size or type.

Want efficiency? Develop business processes and budget for employees to have the necessary resources. Want customer satisfaction? Model employee satisfaction and employees will satisfy customers? Want to cut waste? Provide required training.

Top Management’s role is to demonstrate commitment to the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental efforts through their actions. After all actions speak louder than words.

That’s the Management System Moment for this week. Stay tuned next week for tips on key actions top management can take to improve their company’s management systems. Tweet or Like us if you found this information beneficial.
